The Book Drunkard Literary Festival

For fans of Joanne Ramos, Josie Silver, and Emily Giffin, a gripping and powerful story that asks: Just how much are you willing to forgive in the name of love?

On October 29, 2020 at 7pm, Book Drunkards joined us for an evening with KERRY CLARE. Her debut novel, Mitzi Bytes, was called “entertaining, engaging and timely” by the Toronto Star and this October, Clare returns with Waiting for a Star to Fall.

“Waiting for a Star to Fall is the novel we need at this moment: a wonderfully sharp and humane examination of power and betrayal, love and limits. Kerry Clare has told one woman’s story, but many of us will recognize ourselves in this rich portrait.” —Elizabeth Renzetti, Globe and Mail columnist and author of Shrewed: A Wry and Closely Observed Look at the Lives of Women and Girls.

KERRY CLARE is an editor and blogger and lives in Toronto with her family. She has entertained guests of Blue Heron Books in many capacities before — as an author and an interviewer. Book Drunkards weren’t disappointed after spending an evening with the gregarious Kerry Clare and interviewer Bianca Marais.

“A love story at its core, though one without an ending written in the stars. . . . Timely and insightful.” Karma Brown, #1 bestselling author of Recipe for a Perfect Wife

Tickets included a signed copy of Waiting for a Star to Fall.
