Young Illustrator Competition (2019)

This event called all little illustrators!

We wanted to see their renditions of their fave character!

We invited children of all ages to draw the character that inspires them and bring it to Blue Heron Books from the announcement of this event until October 24, 2019. The children’s artwork was then placed on display at Blue Heron Studio during the Illustrator Showcase on October 26th.

We welcomeed any size, medium (as long as it can be hung on the wall) and characters. Children were encouraged to write their name & contact information on the back of their artwork. A winner was drawn at 12:00 pm at Blue Heron Studio on October 26th.

This contest was open to all artists 18 and under.

Following October 26th, the Young Illustrator Competition entries were on display for the remainder of the festival. Guests were encouraged to stop in and be inspired. The studio was open the following days and times:

October 27: 11:00 am – 4:00 pm • October 28: 10:00 am – 4:30 pm • October 30: 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm • November 1: 10:00 am – 7:00 pm
